Why we are here.
In 2021-2022 the state of North Carolina awarded $11 billion dollars in goods and services. Only 5.8% was spent on historically underutilized businesses. This is starving HUBs of opportunities to thrive in the communities they build and service. To be a state that truly lives up to its potential, this has to be lifted up, addressed, and corrected. This is the purpose of The NC HUB Coalition.
Our Goals
Goal #1: Increase certified HUBs to 15,000 across NC
Goal #2: Grow the procurement dollars for HUBs
Goal #3: Increase reporting of Agencies to 100% participation by 2025.
Goal #4: Advocate for increasing NCDOA HUB Office capacity to a level that ensures they achieve their mission.
We believe that business leaders and community organizations need to communicate with the decision-makers and the public about the importance of Historically Underutilized Businesses and how they contribute to the success of our communities while providing business opportunities and benefits for North Carolina’s economy.
